Description

The game has a lot of other aspects like the vessel you age your spirits in to the bottle you sell them off in each giving a certain bonus to you.

In Distilled from Paverson Games you will get your chance to run a distillery deciding along the way what spirits to make, how long to age them and a whole lot more. When you create a game, just select 'Hotseat' instead of solo or multiplayer, and then be sure to sit at green, red, yellow or blue (pink if you have a 5th player). Two basic ingredients can be purchased from the basic market and premium ingredients, items and upgrades can be purchased from the main market. So, even if you don’t make the recipe you want during the distill phase, you’ll still always make something. A typical round is made up of four phases; Market, Distill, Sell and Age phase and players will gain "Spirit" points over the course of seven rounds. The head and tail are normally put back into the next batch you are distilling (don't worry its distilled again and no longer bad for you).

and the other components, particularly the thick cardboard player mats and spirit label tokens, all work well. Ingredients placed in the washback are used in creating a spirit and at least one card Yeast, Sugar and Water card must be used.At the end of a round you'll see if any players meet the criteria to score one of the public bonuses.

Shuffle all the cards then take the top and the bottom card from the cards and put them back in your pantry. But there is very little interaction in the game, making each experience a race to distill different (and limited) spirits before other players can complete their recipes. Selling booze provides that player with a “Spirit Label” that can be used to take a bonus from the top of each player board. As you progress through the game you will get plenty of other items like barrels to age your spirits in or upgrades to your distillery like spring water or coopers that will give you on going bonuses. Little things like storing tokens in whisky barrel shaped trays always bring a rye smile to my face. After seven rounds you'll score end game points for your private bonus cards, money, certain upgrade cards and your bottle collection. Points are obtained by distilling and selling spirits, which results in the creation of Unique Spirits, such as aged whisky (or whiskey! Some of the spirits have a specific ingredient requirement and by removing two cards you may remove the only two cards that you need to complete a recipe.

And then there is the premium market that offers upgraded versions of these basic items and upgrades you can add to the distillery.I steadily found games to take 30-40 minutes per player, a number that I’m sure would decrease with increased experience. Most players will watch an instruction video, or read the rules just once, and be off and running during their first game. Once in the warehouse, age your spirit to enhance its flavor and bottle it to sell it for major profits! Sell Phase - Players bottle their spirits, score spirit points, receive money and gain a label bonus. A typical round is made up of four phase; Market, Distill, Sell and Age phase and players will gain “Spirit” points over the course of seven rounds.
