Either way, I think this Piezo option will be terrific for carrying a Ti alcohol stove for day hikes where you want a hot cuppa or some steaming soup without being weighted down with a heavier stove. The wrist lanyard is handy to let it fall as soon as you light the stove and deal with the cooking pot without the lighter falling into the mud or snow or sand.

With a easy hold structured handle and simple push button you can easily turn on your gas appliance in one go without having any gas leaked out. I havent tried it yet but I assume it will light a propane or butane lantern or stove just as well with the spark alone.
