if i smelled this fragrance on someone i didn't know, i would think of them as someone that cares little about what fragrances they are using.

Some say this has been reformulated but I felt it still has the same smell I sniffed from a sample which had been glued in a page in the old fashion magazine issued around 1997. From a house that produced iconic 90s powerhouses like Escape and One, I expected a lot more from Be. Vastly superior to CK One - though both were hugely consequential for bringing the concept of "UNISEX" fragrances into public awareness. The new batches are even more full-bodied and rounded than the previous ones, making the fragrance even more captivating and full in its roundness and also gaining in duration and sillage! Possibly for older people as I remember disliking it a lot when I was young and it was popular but I think I was comparing it to ck one and I have a complete new appreciation for it.

A longtime favourite, I first had this in the late 90s and my current bottle is 10 years old (the 2009 we are one edition bottle).

The texture really is the synthetic suede of the frosted bottle and sleeping in it feels like the snug of a plastic lavender dreamcatcher making sure your nightmares don't seep through. I'm pleased to find out that the heart note is filled with sweet florals, but I can't really smell the peach notes. Apart from the alcohol, what I get is a minty-citrusy bright and slightly synthetic lavander, where the mint actually overpowers most of the lavander and most of everything else to my nose. I remember this stuff being much brighter and fresher (but with depth) in the past, becoming one of my favourite ever fragrances so I must try a new bottle, my one is almost empty anyway! It won't make it past your morning coffee break if you put it on before work, though, and that's a shame. But I am an over sprayer and I usually spray my hair and clothes as well, so take that into consideration. A comforting and unpretentious fragrance, so easy to wear and at any time by anyone, as long as they like lavender!Someone below mentioned wearing this back in the 90s, wearing a flannel shirt and jeans in the freezing winter and it smelled amazing.
