Pero is an instant coffee substitute made from roasted barley, rye, and chicory. Pero used to be made in Switzerland some time ago, and many customers fell in love with that product. The manufacturing has been changed to a German facility, and it looks like the recipe changed as well. At the end of the day, Pero is just a rebranded substitute.
